Court-Ordered Community Service
Court-ordered community service workers assist our Animal Care Department with maintenance tasks, janitorial tasks, kennel cleaning and other miscellaneous work. Positions and tasks are separate from other volunteer positions listed on our website. Workers do not have any direct contact with the animals.
Shifts run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except the following holiday closures: New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
If you would like to fulfill your court-ordered community service work at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, please print and fill out our Application for Community Service Placement and return it to the shelter. Space is limited to three community service workers per day.
School/College Sponsored Community Service
If you are at least 14 years old and need to complete community service for school or college, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 307-213-3058. Space is limited to three Community Service workers per day.
