All monetary donations to the shelter or its foundation are used to meet critical animal care needs such as vaccinations, food, and veterinary care. Donations can even be made in honor of compassionate friends, coworkers and relatives in lieu of gifts for holidays, birthdays or other special occasions. The shelter also accepts donations in memory of people and pets. All in honor and memory gifts will be acknowledged with a card to the honoree or family, if the information is supplied. Checks should be made out to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter and can be mailed to: 800 Southwest Drive, Cheyenne, WY 82007.

Here we have Barrett Georges, Jacksyn Rolf and Gabby Yocum. These 9 year old neighbors spent all summer working at a lemonade, granola bar and pop tart stand to raise money for CAS. They donated over $570 to the shelter the day before school started!!
In-Kind Donations: You can also help the shelter by donating gift cards from WalMart, Sams Club, Target, PetCo, Murdochs and PetSmart. Gift cards allow us to purchase supplies to take care of the animals while saving valuable space at the shelter.
If your company offers a matching donation program, we hope you’ll remember the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.
Lillian Lenhart spent her summer at a lemonade stand raising enough money purchase treats and toys for the cats and dogs at CAS – an in-kind donation we were thrilled to see!!

In Honor of Pets or People
Donations to the shelter make terrific gifts for people who love animals. You can recognize birthdays, anniversaries, graduations or other special occasions or just say “thank you” to someone special by making a donation in their honor. Both your name and the name of the person or pet you gave to recognize will appear in the next quarterly newsletter. The recipient of the gift will also receive a letter from us telling him or her of your donation. Contact Karen Staples (307) 632-6655 ext. 26 to make a donation in honor of someone.
In Memory of Pets or People
A donation to the shelter is a great way to remember a cause that was close to a loved one’s heart. When you send a donation in memory of a beloved person or pet, both your name and the name of the person or pet you donated to remember will appear in the next quarterly newsletter. Contact Karen Staples at (307) 632-6655 ext. 26 to make a donation in memory of someone.
We have a loyal group of friends who send donations to the shelter every month. These “steady sidekicks” help us by being able to rely on a certain amount of income to the shelter each month. Steady Sidekicks send a minimum of $10 a month or $120 per year, are acknowledged and thanked in each of our quarterly newsletters and receive an annual accounting of their donation. If you would like to become a Steady Sidekick, contact Karen Staples at (307) 632-6655 ext. 30 or Gail Young at (307) 632-6655 ext. 26.
