WHAT IS THE LEGACY CIRCLE?
The Legacy Circle Society is comprised of individuals who have expressed their support for the future of the Cheyenne Animal Shelter by including the Foundation in their will or estate plan. If you have already named the Cheyenne Animal Shelter Foundation in your will or trust, we would like to have the opportunity to say thank you for your generosity and include you as a member of our Legacy Circle. These thoughtful gifts will help us to provide the highest level of care to the homeless and unwanted pets in our community for generations to come!

Having been raised in a home full of pets and two of her current pets, Chester and Dully, having come from the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, Holly Hansen is no stranger to loving animals. Holly’s involvement with the Cheyenne Animal Shelter began in fundraising, where she attended events such as Cajun Fest to show her support for the pets in the Shelter’s care.
Shortly thereafter, Holly was asked to join the board in 2003. She became Vice President. Upon being left 1.5 million dollars from an estate and receiving 1 million dollars from a generous donor, the board was tasked with establishing a Foundation that would ensure the money was being used responsibly and effectively while respecting the wishes of our valued friends.

“Giving from your heart is not only a gift to the recipient but to you because the world always comes back to you. When you give to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter Foundation, you are creating a legacy of compassion and kindness that shapes the future for our pets and our community. It’s a gift of love.”
Earl & Carol Kabeiseman
“We’ve always had cats and they’ve always given us pleasure, fun, and enjoyment. They’re our families. Animals are innocent but many are left at the shelter or abandoned due to costs, lack of training, moving, lack of time, or other circumstances. They need someone to care for them, providing basic necessities like food, shelter, and veterinary care. They do not have pockets to carry their credit cards in.”
Holly Hansen
“I want to make a difference. Sometimes the difference we make happens after we’ve left this world. My passion is animals and the animal shelter and that’s where I’d like my long-lasting contribution to be.”
