JOIN OUR TEAM!
Volunteers embody our “People. Pets. Community” philosophy here at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter. Their selfless service is crucial to the success of our organization and we want our volunteers to feel empowered to learn, to grow, and to share their passion with others. Our volunteers are our advocates and greatest asset in the loving and compassionate care we provide to the animals in our care and our amazing Cheyenne Community.
To join our team of volunteers, fill out an application below. Once your application has been received, we will get back to you about signing up for orientation and your first shift. If you have questions about the program, want to tour the facility, or need assistance, please contact Austin at volunteer@caswyo.org or call 307-365-6638. All applicants under the age of 16 years old will need a parent or guardian to also apply and join them for their volunteer duties.

4. Pay $20 orientation fee using the button below

Foster
Interested in opening your home for fostering?
Join our foster team and help raise underaged pets, give medical cases time to heal, and allow personalities to blossom! The Shelter provides all needed supplies and medical care and you provide the love and shelter to help prepare these pets for their forever homes. To become a foster, fill out the application above.

Groups
Do you have a squad of people interested in a service project? In addition to our traditional volunteer program, opportunities for groups are available at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter. If you have a work team, scout troop, or social club interested in helping out, fill out the document below and email to Austin at volunteer@caswyo.org. Questions? Give us a call at 307-365-6638!
Community Service
The Cheyenne Animal Shelter is offering community service hours to individuals interested in volunteering their time to help care for the animals at the shelter. However, please note that the shelter does not accept individuals with a history of violent offenses, theft, or felonies. If you are looking to complete community service hours, this is a great opportunity to give back to your community and make a positive impact on the lives of animals in need.
