Mark your calendars, lace up your running shoes, and leash up your pups... the Cheyenne Animal Shelter's Dog Jog 5k is BACK and better than ever!
Join the pack and run for a cause on May 18th, 2024. This dog-friendly 5k welcomes runners and walkers of all ages (even in dog years!) to raise funds for the pets and programs of the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.

Parking will be available in the CCI lot at Laramie County Community College.

Packet Pickup
Runners can pick up their packets on May 17th at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, located at 800 Southwest Drive, between 2 pm to 6 pm. Packet pickup will also be available the morning of the event in front of the CCI Building.
Course Description
The race starts and finishes at the entrance to the parking lot in front of the CCI Building. This is a flat and fast course with a total elevation gain of only 81 feet. The course loops through the Sweetgrass Subdivision and then circles the perimeter of Laramie County Community College.
Aid Stations
There will be one aid station at the halfway point. The aid station will have water, Gatorade, and a first aid kit. Water and treats will also be available for dogs participating in the race.
Giveaways
Participants will receive a free t-shirt with their registration if they register by May 1st. After May 1st, shirts will only be available while supplies last.
Timing Company
Bighorn Racing will provide timing services for this event.
Awards
In lieu of the traditional age group awards, we will be celebrating our four-legged participants. Awards will be given out in the following categories:
Fastest Large Dog (approximately 30 pounds or more)
Fastest Small Dog (approximately 30 pounds or less)
Most # of Steps Taken (tiniest dog to complete the course without assistance)
Fewest # of Steps Taken (largest dog to complete the course without assistance)
"Fitness" Award (the dog that has started its journey towards a healthier lifestyle)
Most Well-Behaved Dog
